The power of intention is a powerful force that many of us don't even realize that we do, intention is the very force that acts upon the universe and brings about what we perceive to be ‘reality’. ..
*Intention: 1. the state of mind of mind with which an act is done.
2. directed with keen attention.
Also: volition, purpose, aim, meaning
So what does this have to do with healing ourselves? Intention has everything to do with our lives regardless of our present circumstances. You may think to yourself, "No way! I never intended for my life to turn out the way it has! It just has!" or "Yeah, but, I never intended for this or that to happen!" Or, "I never intended to a victim of (fill in the blank)!" But we beg to differ...somewhere along the line you HAVE consciously or unconsciously intended for something to happen/occur that has brought you to where you are presently at, usually unconsciously. There is no blame in this statement, and we don't want you to feel blamed. If you don't know that you are doing something then you cannot be held accountable for your actions, if on the otherhand, you CHOOSE to remain unaware despite evidence to contrary and CHOOSE to take no action then you have consciously and with intent brought about something in your life. The point here is that you START to make conscious choices regarding your intent, not to sit in judgment, you don't judge a 2 year old who crossed a busy street and got hit do you? No, indeed not, this child was merely UNAWARE that his intent to get to the otherside of the street was potentially dangerous to himself and/or others. And we also wish to express that no one is to blame for being hurt by another, such in the case of a rape victim or an abused child, the only intention here was on the part of the other to hurt another person for power and control and they went looking for that person with intent. But as a survivor YOU can intend to regain your own personal power back and to heal.
For our purposes of HEALING and TRANSFORMATION we hold and say to you that intention in the directed action and focus and active aware attention upon a goal or feeling that we wish to have manifest in our lives. Our attention is focused upon that which we DESIRE, NOT that which we DON'T have (lack), CANNOT do (limitation), or WANT/NEED. Nor what OTHERS say we should or shouldn't do, have, want, or need. For focusing upon those very things only brings us more of the same and disempowers our ability to be the co-creators of our lives in a happy and joyous manner! Instead, let us turn our attention and therefore our intent to what we do have that which we DESIRE which will propel us in that direction.
Intention setting is nothing more than 'seeing' the negative (lack, limition, want/need) in our life and being able to turn this negative mindset into a positive thought. For instance, you feel that your don't have enough money (lack). Instead of focusing on this LACK of money, you will now focus on the flip side and state to yourself...I desire and intend that all my bills are paid on time, NOT, How am I going to pay these bills?!(this last statement by the way is also fear based). By desiring and intending that the bills ARE INDEED paid (acting and believing as if they were already, FAITH not fear) you then attract the means to do so and you are also leaving the many possible avenues and ways that this may occur, thus being open to co-creating with Spirit instead of limiting yourself to doing it alone, by one-way only, YOUR way.
While this may seem too simple, the actual consistent practice of the law of attraction, LIKE ATTRACTS LIKE, yields amazing results if practiced and we at iEmpowered Healing encourage you to explore this 'new' idea on your own as there a many books and other websites available that focus entirely upon this principle.
